1. Go to the Voters section. Psst! It works the same way in the Contacts section. Here, you see a fictional list of 51 voters.
2. First, find the person you’re looking for, if applicable. As a reminder, to learn how to search contacts, click here, and to search voters, click here.
To view someone’s profile and to remove or add tags, click on the name of the person you want to edit. Their profile will open.
Here are the three sections of the profile:
On the left, basic information, including the tags located just below their name, as well as contact information, responses to the scoring questionnaire, etc.
In the middle, more detailed information, which you can edit if you wish and if you have the necessary access.
On the right, a history of contacts with this person, calls made, comments added to their profile, etc.
3. If the person has a tag already, you'll see it directly below their name. To remove a tag applied to the person, simply click on the small “x” on the one you want gone.
4. Otherwise, to view all tags or add new ones, follow the same procedure as for any other information: go to the middle column to edit. For tags, this is obviously in the “Tags” section.
If you expand this section, you will see the tags available (to you!) in your database. By checking the boxes next to the tags you want to assign to this voter, they will appear below their name.
If you have multiple tags, you can also search for them by name in the search bar.
5. Alternatively, if you close the person’s profile using the small “x” in the top-left corner, you can also add tags from the voter table. The “tags” column will appear there. You may need to scroll the table to the right or left to reach the tags column.
By clicking the “+” icon, you can add a tag from this view. However, to remove tags, you’ll need to do so in the profile, as explained earlier.
Now, you can organize your voters or contacts by tags: in fact, if you know how to use filters, you know that one of the sections in the filter window is “Tags.”
There you go! You know how to add and remove tags, and thus how to use them to organize your voters or contacts!
